OYFP Partner Profile: AchieveAbility

AchieveAbility is a Philadelphia-based nonprofit organization that helps low income, single parent and homeless families to reach self-sufficiency by providing comprehensive, intensive, supportive social services in tandem with quality affordable housing. Families come to AchieveAbility with backgrounds characterized by homelessness, poverty, lack of access to quality health care, unemployment, low educational attainment, substance abuse disabilities and/or family violence. Families stay with the organization for three to five years, the time it normally takes to pursue the education, obtain the employment and develop the life skills necessary for a self-sufficient lifestyle.
